Abstract

In the thirteen century the Bedouin tribe of Osman (Ottoman) entered in Asia Minor and laid the foundation of such an empire, which became the world's strongest power in terms of military and political during the 16th century. Thus, in this century, the Ottoman Empire became the world's great kingdom in terms of extinction and power. This empire reached its peak in the east and west in the era of sultan Salem I and sultan Suleiman, respectively. This great kingdom was established in Europe, Asia, and Africa during the period of its rise. At that time there was no power equal to the Ottomans present in Europe. During the 16th century Ottoman was the key military and political power. However, following key weakness of the empire has been observed during the reign of Suleiman as: incompetent bureaucracy, red-tapism, bribe culture and favoritism. This bad governess and opposition of every new invention and optimism led to decline of this empire. The Empire had ignored the inventions and industrial development in Europe. On the other hand, the rival nations benefited from industrial development and inventions and, thus, became major powers in Europe. Europe's countries went in the field of science, technology, knowledge and politics while Ottoman Empire was behind the development. European conspiracy and disabled rulers weakened Ottoman Empire. Although the Ottomans rulers did reform but the time has passed. Thus, Ottoman Empire totally collapsed in the early of the twenty century.
